Yoga and Naturopathy Doctors Association Holds Remarkable 17th Annual General Meeting

Kathmandu, August 1, 2025 — The Yoga and Naturopathy Doctors Association Nepal (YANDA) successfully convened its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 1, 2025, bringing together naturopathy professionals, leaders, and emerging voices from across the country. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation, forward-looking discussions, and renewed commitments toward strengthening the naturopathy movement in Nepal.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Janak Bahadur Basnet, Founder Chairperson of YANDA and Dr. Pratikshya Pandey, General Secretary, facilitated the session with clarity and composure, ensuring smooth proceedings throughout. Dr. Dinesh Rai, Vice Chairperson, opened the event with thoughtful remarks highlighting the collective responsibilities and future vision of the association.

Treasurer Dr. Aasha BK presented the financial report, providing an overview of YANDA’s fiscal standing, achievements, and future priorities. Her report was well received, reflecting transparency and sound financial management.

Dr. Hemraj Koirala, Executive Committee Member, delivered a powerful speech emphasizing the expansion of various treatment modalities within naturopathy. He highlighted the pioneering work being carried out under his leadership at Kathmandu University, particularly in the integration of evidence-based naturopathic practices and academic excellence. Dr. Navaraj Bhatta, a dedicated YANDA member, expressed keen interest in expanding naturopathic practices to broader dimensions, urging for greater outreach, research, and community engagement. 

One of the highlights of the event was the welcoming of ten new members into the YANDA family. Their induction symbolizes the growing strength and reach of the yoga and naturopathy community in Nepal. 

The AGM concluded on an optimistic note, reinforcing a shared vision of promoting holistic health through yoga and naturopathy and expanding its contribution to Nepal’s healthcare landscape.
